Sweet Alchemy: an eye-catching candy store

The candy store Sweet Alchemy by Stelios Parliaros in Athens was designed by designer Stelios Kois, of Kois Associated Architects . Its mysterious atmosphere contrasts with the delicate sweets, displayed in wooden and glass cases. Jars, bottles, boxes and trays receive a dramatic lighting effects from the ceiling. The abundant sunlight is refracted through a steel grid with glass shelves.

The space is characterized by a high degree of transparency, combined with diffuse illumination. The lights and shadows change throughout the day, providing a unique atmosphere at all times. The choice of rustic materials such as iron, bronze, copper, wood and concrete were selected for their natural characteristics and they were not altered in order emulate an appearance.

Design that helps transform poverty in India

Pepe Heykoop helps transform the poor areas of India in great opportunities with the design of products. Removing 700 people from poverty, its participation was essential in the production of vases and lamps.

The result was so incredible that it was presented at the IMM Cologne 2013, a major European trade fair for interior design that brings together big names in design.  You can check out the products in the gallery above. Good taste and modernity that transformed realities.

The dream shop Bambini Kids Store, in Vienna

In the center of Vienna, parents seeking sophistication in clothing for their little ones can discover the shop of dreams, called Bambini.

The 360m interior brings together luxury clothes from brands such as Armani, Fendi, Gucci, Versace and Roberto Cavali. The locale stimulates the imagination, with an air of mystery and fun. Mushrooms, lollipops, fruit and other images recall children's stories such as Alice in Wonderland, enchant anyone.

The ceramic sculptures of Eva Hild

These handmade sculptures are molded in clay, in varying degrees of internal and external pressure. They recall moving bodies and, at the same time, there is an empty space which, when invaded by air and light, form different volumes in the mass.

Contemporary, they combine with any environment in search of good taste. Really cool!

Studio Annex of the FIDM in Los Angeles

A project from Clive Wilkinson Architects, the reform of the studio of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising offers a unique combination between independent and group workspaces.

Three mezzanines structures were created that extended the collaborative space and modernized the interior.

To emphasize the location of the studio, in the southern Californian desert, the theme of water was used in all the rooms, including a comfortable platform named "pool", where students can work and relax.

With ample space for leisure and cozy nooks, the project brings colors, textures and works of art that provide a contemporary environment and customize every room of the house.

Cioccolato Bakery Boutique, in Monterrey, Mexico

If the idea of the designers who designed the Cioccolato was to cause the sensation of something mouth-wateringly yummy and creamily liquid in the mouth, like something resembling the fantastic factory of Willy Wonka, they certainly succeeded.

This bakery specializes in custom desserts and special events; it belongs to the same company, Cioccolato, a traditional brand of cake.

A major concern of the project team was to ensure a clear distinction between the new concept and the traditional, without confusing the customers.

Walking through the store, you can see concepts that create a desire for sweets, candies, whipped cream, hot chocolate, cupcakes or anything sweet that has a happy and festive tone. For example, there is a white table with one leg formed by something that is dripping, perhaps jam or some other irresistible filling. There are also drips of chocolate on the shelves. Irresistible!

Spiral staircase lighting by .PSLAB

The lighting concept for this spiral staircase in a house in Lebanon is the result of a partnership between architect Bernard Khoury and. PSLAB. The solution mimics the shape of the staircase and provides a sculptural element that enhances the environment which is generally a dark space at the top of most stairs. A Good solution.
