Renewed apartment and Home Office in Israel

Architecture

05 NOV 2014

Designed by Henkin Shavit Studio, this loft combines a private room with an interior design studio and an architecture office space. Part of a 1960’s prefabricated building, the apartment is located in Jaffa, Tel Aviv, overlooking the old town and the Mediterranean Sea.

When reimagining the space, the architects completely restored the walls and floors, softening the concrete building with wood, such as Gushen Pine, covering the central deck. The building provides unique features, such as heavy metal doors and a desk for cleaning guns (which now serves as a dining table). The art collection and decor make each room contemporary and full of personality.
